Tailoring has always been in the family.

Drape & Dwell is two things at once: a family trade passed down, and a business we chose to build around it.

Taught to us as a life skill, growing up.

Tailoring has always been in the family — it's something we were taught growing up, the way some families teach cooking or carpentry. Some of us stayed in the trade over the years, others went off into different businesses entirely.

Four years ago, we decided to bring it back together and start Drape & Dwell — something that would keep us busy, and something we could hand on to the next generation, the same way it was handed to us.

Curtains and Roman blinds first. Everything else finishes the room.

Rather than stretch across venetians, shutters and verticals, we've built the business around the two window dressings where fabric, fit and finish matter most — then added the pelmets, cushions and throws that finish a room once the windows are sorted.

Workshop-based, appointment only.

We cover all of London and Surrey and the surrounding areas — and for the right project, we'll travel further. Our workshop itself is by appointment only.

Trade relationships with the fabric houses that matter.

Including Linwood, Harlequin, iLiv, Sanderson and Jane & Clayton — so even a fabric you've found elsewhere, we can often better the price on.

Whichever service you choose, this doesn't change.
